How is it that there are NO potholders that aren't scorched?

I know how it is...my mother burns them. But why am I getting soot from one while I'm eating soup?

The primetime Emmy announcement thing is this morning. It is supposedly (my suppose) during the Today timeline. On my teevee listings, the other morning shows included the announcement in the descriptions. Today, on the other hand, says: "Actor Owen Wilson; healthy foods; actors Johnny Depp and Freddie Highmore; 2-day getaways from Charlotte, N.C.; actor Tom Arnold; first lady Laura Bush in Africa." Wonder what bit will not air in Central....

I like Pushing Tin. "You'd wished you'd jumped in the river."
It's on Fx right now *g*

You have different versions of a show for different areas? Although it's not local topics?
Or am I getting that wrong?

Typically they'll do one three-hour show for the local 7/8/9 hours. East coast gets it first, live. Then for the other timezones, like us in Central, NBC feeds the same show on a 1-hour delay (2-hour delay for Mountain, 3-hour delay for Pacific).

With live stuff happening in the Eastern 8:30am NBC will either breakaway from the delay feed to cover the same thing in Central at 7:30, and leave Mountain and Pacific to NBC Special Reports coverage instead of covering it within Today since it's before those timezones begin the show. Emmy noms is big enough to do -live- across the timezones, I'm guessing. If it's live like that, at 7:30amCT, it covers the 7:30ET segment that New Yorkers saw an hour earlier. See how that works?
Maybe I could look up what happened last year...but I'm far too lazy (and must get moving on the rest of the morning schedule now that I've finished breakfast).
